INVITATION for the exhibition and book presentation TIME, TOOLS AND PRACTICE by Paul Ouwerkerk, with Vladimir Skoda, from April 2nd until May 1st at BMB Project Space, Amsterdam.
The monograph TIME, TOOLS and PRACTICE is a journey through the oeuvre of visual artist Paul Ouwerkerk, described by Joyce Dunki Jacobs. The book will be presented during the exhibition and it will be available for sale.
The exhibition will focus on Ouwerkerks most recent series of geometric paintings, as a result of executing a formula or a principle, where eliminations and imperfections are increasingly permitted. The work of Parisian sculptor Vladimir Skoda is expressed in cubes, cones, spirals and spheres. From a similar fascination, the two artists – one on a surface, the other in space – each articulate a visual idiom which complements and enforces the other one’s work.
